The project will involve the upgrading of 25 km of the Mombasa Southern Bypass in Kenya.

The proposed off-dock ICDs/CFSs Integration Program comprise: (1) Relocating all container processing activities from marine yard to CFSs. (2) Simplifying of transfers between marine yard and CFS, and (3) CFSs enhancing facilities and technical competency to handle increased transfers from marine yard and to service clients.

Construction of Kraké/Sémé Badagry One-Stop Border Post along the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor (between Benin and Nigeria).

Construction of Ouidah/Hillacondji/Sanveekondji One-Stop Border Post between Togo and Benin. This part of the project relates specifically to the facilities in Togo.

The Noépé One-Stop Border Post (OSBP) is a key infrastructure project on the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor, located at the Ghana-Togo border. The project involves the construction of a modern, integrated border facility on the Togolese side at Noépé, opposite Aflao in Ghana. The scope includes constructing new administrative buildings, inspection bays, parking areas, and associated infrastructure (water, sanitation, ICT) to facilitate joint border operations. The project is designed to implement the OSBP concept, harmonizing procedures between Ghana and Togo to create a single customs and immigration control point.

Construction of Mutukula One-Stop Border Post between Tanzania and Uganda. Border type: Juxtaposed.

Construction of Hillacondji/Sanveekondji One-Stop Border Post between Togo and Benin. This is a Joint Border Control Facility for border control officials from Benin and Togo to jointly undertake border control formalities to reduce border crosing time for goods and persons. OSBT: Straddling.

Construction of the Koloko/Heremankono OSBP between Mali and Burkina Faso on the Dakar-Bamako-Niamey transport corridor.

Construction of the Garoua Boulai One-Stop Border Post between Cameroon and Central African Republic on the Douala-Bangui Douala-N Djamena Multimodal Transport Corridor.

Upgrading of Kisumu Lake Port in Kenya, including modernization, navigation aid, dredging and sedimentation protection.

The project involves the construction of Koutéré One-Stop Border Post between Cameroon and Chad, on the Douala-Bangui Douala-N Djamena Multimodal Transport Corridor.

A One-Stop Border Post (OSBP) facility at Mpondwe border between Uganda and DRC on the Northern Corridor. Border type: Juxtaposed.

The project comprise of the following: (1) complete or initiate dredging of port of Mwanza to restore design depths of generally around 6 m on approach to, in anchorage and along Berths; (2) establish a watercourse management system to minimize soil erosion and sedimentation at ports; and (3) rehabilitating or establishing of areas and ramps to accommodate vehicles (in particular MAFI trailers and forklifts) involved with RoRo operations at ports.

Construction of a standard gauge railway (2900km) from Lamu Port in Kenya to Juba in South Sudan and Addis Ababa in Ethiopia i.e. LamuGarissa-Isiolo and branching into two links, the link to South Sudan (Isiolo-Nginyang-Nakodok-Juba) and link to Ethiopia (Isiolo-Moyale-Addis Ababa). Design speed: (Passenger train) 160 km per hour (Kph), (Freight train) 120 Kph, Gauge: 1,435 mm (Standard Gauge). The railway project preliminary designs are complete for the Kenyan and Ethiopian route and expected to proceed to the Detailed Engineering Design stage. The Government Kenya and the Government of Ethiopia have signed a Bilateral Agreement to jointly pursue the development of the LAPSSET Standard Gauge Railway. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between LCDA and InterGovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) to facilitate the financing of this stage though an Infrastructure Project Preparatory Fund (IPPF) available through the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD).

Develop the Kampala Bombo Expressway to facilitate mobility and trade between Kampala and the major towns of Bombo,Masindi, Kigumba and Gulu, as well as to the neighbouring countries of Sudan and the DRC.

The duplication of the RN06 between the town of Mascara with high agricultural potential and that of Bechar in the south and the RN 50 between Bechar and the town of Tindouf to continue to the border with Mauritania. This motorway axis can extend to the town of Choum in Mauritania.The project serves an existing infrastructure asset of another sector, but there is more than 50% overlap in the geography serviced by the proposed project and the other sector existing asset.

Construction of Ras Adjir One-Stop Border Post between Tunisia and Libya on the Trans-Maghreb Highway.

Construction of 17 km single carriageway road missing links between Abidjan and Grand Bassam (Cote d'Ivore).

The project forms part of the upgrading of the 1,200 km of narrow gauge railway between Abidjan and Ouagadougou. In particular it involves the section in Burkina Fasso, from the border with Ivory Coast to Ouagadougou.

Development of an inland waterway on the Akagera river from Kagitumba (Rwanda) to Lake Victoria (Bukoba).

Reconstruction of the cargo and passenger transport system on the Beira-Machipanda railway line, linking the provinces of Sofala and Manica to neighbouring Zimbabwe, via the Machipanda border post, will once again allow people and goods to travel, particularly rural workers along the Beira corridor. This section of railway is of particular importance to Mozambique as it is expected to offer greater dynamism to the strategy of linking different development hubs in the country and neighbouring regions, and improve efficiency in transporting passengers and cargo between points along the railway.

The project involves rehabilitation of Kalabayd - Hargeisa - Berbera road (221km); and Upgrading of Kalabayd - Togwachalle road section (20km). Also project involves construction of Hargeisa bypass (25km).

The project comprises the following components: (a) Civil works for; (i) Rehabilitation of the Blantyre-Zomba Road (59 km); (ii) Rehabilitation of the Mzuzu-Nkhata Bay Road (47km) - PROJECT ID 658; (b) Consultancy services for: (i) Supervision of civil works for the above; (ii) The feasibility and detail engineering design studies for the Ntcheu- NenoTsangano-Mwanza Road; c) Compensation and resettlement and (d) Audit services

Development of the Waterberg rail system to accommodate coal and other traffic from Botswana through the Waterberg and Rustenburg regions. The project consists of a study to consider a possible new heavy haul line between Lephalale and the Botswana rail network. Line capacity will be 20mtpa scalable to 40mtpa in single line configuration. This project is developmental and not purely demand driven.

The project involves the construction of a One Stop Border Post between Congo and DRC. Related to this project is the construction of a road/rail bridge between Brazzaville and Kinshasa.

Construction of the Campo One-Stop Border Post between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, which lies on the Douala- Bangui- Douala- N’Djamena Corridor.

Increases terminal capacity to 1.4m TEU pa with additional landside investment. This is achieved by the upgrading of certain stack paving thereby allowing for higher container stacking with increased stack capacity. Berth capacity is already at 1.4m TEU pa. With the acquisition of 4x RTG"’s equipment capacity will also be at 1.4m TEU pa. Current stack capacity is limited to 1.0m TEU pa.

Construction of Calomue/Dedza One-Stop Border Post between Mozambique and Malawi, with Calomue on the Mozambique side and Dedza on the Malawian side.

The railway section is about 1,000 km running from Mtwara Port at the Indian Ocean to Mbambabay/ (Ameliabay) in Lake Nyasa with Spurs connecting to Mineral fields of Mchuchuma coal and Liganga iron ore mines in the south west of Tanzania.
