Project Overview

Dar es Salaam Port Modernisation is upgrading an operating seaport through public investment and a long-term private operating concession. The programme aims to increase cargo-handling capacity, improve berth and terminal efficiency and reduce vessel and cargo delays through equipment, terminal and operating improvements. DP World committed more than US$250 million initially, and the modernisation programme remains under implementation.

Description

<p>The project involves the modernisation of the Dar es Salaam Port, including upgrade to berths 1 to 7, deepening of the harbour, improveing cargo handling and port layout.</p>

Objectives

<p>The objective is to increase the capacity of the Port of Dar es Salaam through increased port efficiency.</p>
