Lusahunga-Rusumo Road is a road project serving Tanzania. It seeks to reduce travel time, improve safety and strengthen corridor access through construction, rehabilitation or capacity upgrading of the named route. The Lusahunga–Rusumo road remained an active rehabilitation/preparation programme around 2025. Current sources support studies/procurement more strongly than completed construction.

<p>The upgrade will increase traffic movement and capacity between Lusahunga and Rusumo and reduce transport time and cost on the Central Corridor.</p>
