Upgrading of 209 km of single carriageway road between Nyahua-Chaya, Urambo-Kaliua, Kazirambwa-Chagu and Malagarasi-Uvinza in Tanzania.
<p>The project involves upgrading of missing links along part of the Central Corridor of Manyoni-Itigi-Tabora-Urambo-Kaliua-Kigoma: Nyahua to Chaya (90km), Urambo to Kaliua (33km), Kazirambwa to Chagu (40km) and Malagarasi to Uvinza (51km) from gravel to paved.</p>
<p>The upgrade will increase traffic movement and capacity between Lake Victoria and the Central Corridor, increase multimodal transport options is the region and reduce transport time and cost on the Central Corridor.</p>
