Kabanga/Kobero is an operating one-stop border post between Burundi and Tanzania. It brings customs, immigration and other border controls into a coordinated facility and operating process to reduce clearance times and improve cross-border trade. The facility is in operation.
<p>The One - Stop - Border - Post (OSBP) is juxtaposed. Offices in Burundi and Tanzania are located in each country at a certain distance from the borderline. In offices, the different Officers (from both countries) are seated side by side and all sevices are done simultaneously.The construction of all offices in Burundi and Tanzania has been funded by Trade Mark Africa.</p>
<p>The objective is to reduce the non tariff barriers and facilitate trade and transport on the Central Corridor. Transit time will be reduced for the growth of economy in the region.</p>
