Lusaka - Kinshasa Fibre-optic Link (DRC section) is a terrestrial digital-connectivity project serving Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia. It seeks to increase international bandwidth and route resilience through fibre cable, transmission equipment and cross-border interconnection facilities. The DRC section of the Lusaka–Kinshasa fibre link is reported operational historically, providing terrestrial connectivity toward Zambia. Current route capacity and border handover data were not confirmed.
<p>Deployment and implementation of a broadband connectivity link between Kinshasa and Lusaka through the link Muanda-Kinshasa then Kinshasa-Kasumbalesa, afterwards establishes a cross boarder connection operated by Zamtel in Zambia and la Société Congolaise des Postes et des Télécommunications (SCPT) in DRC.</p>
