The Chad section of the Cameroon–Chad Interconnector is a 225 kV transmission project intended to connect the two national grids, improve electricity reliability and support regional power trade. The project includes high-voltage lines, substations and associated grid infrastructure. Construction remained under implementation in 2026.

The objective of the project is to share energy resources amongst ECCAS Member States and promote regional development.
