The Juba–Torit–Kapoeta–Nadapal Road connects Juba with Eastern Equatoria and the Kenyan border. It is intended to improve all-season access, reduce transport costs and strengthen the regional trade corridor between South Sudan and Kenya. The project remains at project-structuring stage, with security, route and financing conditions affecting implementation.

<p>The objective of the proposed project is to enhance interstate and regional connectivity, through upgrading a priority road section along a critical national and international corridor. The proposed project contributes to the overarching goal of integrating South Sudan to the regional markets and supporting the state of South Sudan to function as a nation as well as enhancing trade and socio-economic development in the region.</p>
