The Mpanda–Kasulu–Nyakanazi and Kasulu–Kigoma Roads form a broad western Tanzania corridor programme. The corridor is being delivered through multiple road packages and overlapping PIDA components, including the Kasulu–Kibondo–Nyakanazi project. The parent record should describe the programme and aggregate only non-duplicated component results.
<p>The project will enable a direct road link between the Central Corridor and Lake Victoria at Kigoma.</p>
<p>The upgrade will increase traffic movement and capacity between Lake Victoria and the Central Corridor, increase multimodal transport options is the region and reduce transport time and cost on the Central Corridor.</p>
