The Mombasa Port New Petroleum Facility supports the import and handling of petroleum products at the Port of Mombasa, including infrastructure associated with Kipevu Oil Terminal. It improves marine unloading, transfer, storage and distribution capacity for Kenya and the wider region. The facility is operational.
<p>The project is designed to meet the need for additional liquid bulk capacity through design of a BOT project for a single buoy point or off shore jetty system.</p>
<p>Due to the saturation level at the petroleum terminal, this project has high priority. The chemical products terminal project is essential to the further development of manufacturing in the region and to the mineral development currently being increased.</p>
