Project Overview

Brazzaville - Kinshasa Fibre-optic Link (DRC section) is a terrestrial digital-connectivity project serving Democratic Republic of Congo and Republic of Congo. It seeks to increase international bandwidth and route resilience through fibre cable, transmission equipment and cross-border interconnection facilities. The DRC section of the Brazzaville–Kinshasa fibre link is reported as operational, supporting traffic between the two capitals. Current operator, capacity and redundancy data were not confirmed.

Description

<p>Deploy a subriver cable between the 2 most closest capital cities in the world (Brazzaville and Kinshasa separated just by the Congo river) with a broadband connectivity Fibre Optic Cable.</p>

Objectives

<p>Main objective of the project is to be of redundancy to both countries in case of failure from the respective main international connections of each country (WACS, CAB5,..)</p>
