RESTORING CAPACITY AT DCT FROM CURRENT 2.4M TEUs TO THE DESIGN CAPACITY OF 2.9m TEUs

Description

<p>This project entails the deepening, widening and lengthening of Berths 203 to 205 at DCT. The berths will be lengthened from 914m to 1210m and deepened from -12.8m CD to -16.5mCD.<br />
These berths would be able to handle 3 x 350m Super Post-Panamax vessels of up to 12 000TEU capacity and with drafts of 14.5m. The current berths are inadequate to meet the demands of major container lines.<br />
Additional Capacity:<br />
Design capacity is 2.9 m TEU"’s.<br />
The objective of the project is to sustain current business.</p>
