Uvira - Bukavu Road is a road-corridor project serving Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Tanzania. It seeks to reduce travel time, improve safety and strengthen access to markets and border crossings through construction, rehabilitation or upgrading of the named route. AUDA-NEPAD conducted market sounding for the Uvira–Bukavu road in 2023, indicating project structuring. Conflict and insecurity in eastern DRC materially constrained implementation during 2025. At 31 December 2025, the project was assessed at Project Structuring.
