<p>The objectives of an OSBP are: </p>
<ul>
<li>To ease congestion at existing facilities </li>
<li>To reduce time delays at border </li>
<li>To increase coordination between border agencies </li>
<li>To simplify the processes at borders and to facilitate trade.</li>
</ul>
<p>Currently, no regional legal framework or procedures have been established in the IGAD region yet. A report on the legal framework and modalities for the establishment of One Stop Border Posts in the region have since been prepared.</p>
